bonjour madames et monsieurs, parle vous francais? je parle en peu le francais! . . . . mais non? Ok I guess I'll write it in english then. Well, what can I say, it has been another quite mad week. I am officially a 'homme' I kept Alice despite the protests and she says hello (did you know that bicycles can talk?).They only do it when no-one else is around. Anyway, I came on the ferry to Dieppe. Thankfully no-one else noticed (I think it was the vibrations of the engine or something). I have managed to cycle to Paris (believe it or not), I am now sat in a cafe du Internet (can't do the arrets yet), there arn't many of them around, this is the first one. I have learnt a lot since my last email. France has a lot of ups and downs (geographically speaking), my legs have changed shape, my top half has become withered and emaciated and I now look a bit like a kangaroo. The countryside smells of poo. There are a lot of cows. The French always stare. . . .(or is it just me) The French are very helpful. They kiss a lot. A lot of places shut on mondays. They don't sell methylated spirits in France (this is a bit of a problem for me because my stove uses it) Paris is beautiful. Le Havre is not I cycled from Dieppe > Le Havre > Rouen > Giverchy (Claud Monet lived there apparently, I didn't stop cos of the thousands of coaches) and then to Gaye Paris. Thats it really. I have to be quick cos I need to go to the Lou....vre. I have got a headache from seeing all this new stuff, too much information I guess. Thanks for the emails everybody, I had 23 when I checked and I have added them to my address list. I now feel very popular. It is a lot easier than sending ones to myself to try and impress people. Haven't talked to many people, they all seem to go round in groups speaking in tongues. That is fine by me. I have mostly been eatin pasta au revoir mon amie luv Vinni (girls) punches Vinni (blokes) |
