HEDGEBOY 1 - whats the date?

I have had a pretty eventful few days . . . .believe it or not. I went to greenich in the end, did you know that it is about 12 miles there? Anyway I sort of sat around and got a bit bored so I cycled another 35 miles to a place called box hill. It doesn't look like a box . . .unless a box is about 4 miles long and very steep.

There was a field and I slept in it. I then went to Brighton where I was laughed at by a bicycle repairman when I said france and several months and stuff. I didn't even mention the Atlas mountains or he might have gone into hysterics. Anyway to cut a long story dramatically in half, I spoke to someone else and they said that I had a good frame and it was just everything else that was a bit fucked. He then had a look at the bike . . . . . (boom boom). He was a bit more optomistic though, which made me happy, because Alice has been a reliable steed and has never let me down, except that time with the dog and the hill and the lead which really can choke if you wrap it round some spokes, anyway, I digress.

What is more to the point is that I intend to keep her as long as possible. I've had to wait a couple of days to get her fixed, but this has allowed me to employ my theory of 'no hurries, no worries' it really seems to work. Shaved all my hair off and then got sunburnt. I looked like a thug with sunburn, so I bought a neckerchief to cover myself where it hurts the most. I now look like a gay thug with sunburn. This doesn't worry me much because I am in Brighton and this look is all the rage. I'm off to pick up Alice and cycle to Newhaven.

slater,

ps. I have just emailed everyone in my address book as this is the first one, let me know if you want an update next week, I am going to try to do one every seven days or so. Forward it to anyone you think will be interested, or throw it in the bin. I am always going to call them subject: hedgeboy so you can even set up a nifty little filter to erase them straight away. Ah, modern technology huh.
